through connection and activity.

Attending one of our signature events is a great way to learn more about the Wichita Public Schools Foundation, including the impact we are making in the schools we support. Your attendance also helps to fund programs for more than 45,000 students, 79% of whom are living in poverty in our community.

Superintendent's Breakfast

Join us for the 2026 Superintendent's Breakfast on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. You'll leave inspired and energized about the students in our community doing incredible things. This year's event will feature:

  • Breakfast from Wichita West and Wichita North Culinary Students

  • A performance by the Mayberry Mariachi Band

  • Hands-on experiences from our Career and Technical Education pathways during networking hour

  • A state of the district from Superintendent Kelly Bielefeld

  • much more!

2025 Legacy Golf Classic

Annually each October, the Legacy Golf Classic is held at Crestview Country Club to raise money for post-secondary educational programming at Wichita Public Schools.

​

Our 2026 Legacy Golf Classic will be held on Friday, October 2, shotgun start at 8am.

Your Impact

At Wichita Public Schools, we work to ensure every student is future ready. Focusing not only on college, but on career training programs. Through the Future Ready Centers - currently open in the areas of manufacutring and healthcare, students train with professionals using state of the art equipment and graduate high-school with credentials and certificates to enter the workforce.

 

This event covers the costs for these credentials and certificate programs, plus uniforms for students, work boots, scrubs and more.

Every dollar raised at this event will support the 46,000 children Wichita Public Schools Educates each year. ​

Some examples of potential programmatic support include:

VEX Ro​botics National Competition

  •  $5,000 helps pay for one qualifying team's trip to nationals

Early College Academy 

  • $3,000 per student

Bicycles to Help Students Get to School  

  • ​$1,000 sponsors 8 students, helping to reduce absenteeism

Sponsorships are available at all levels, beginning at $1,500 for a table of 10.

Your Impact

Calling all golfers. Wichita's premiere golf classic is back for it's 7th year. Our 2026 Legacy Golf Classic will be Friday, October 2 at Crestview Country Club. 

​

This important fundraiser raised over $130,000 in 2025 to support college and career readiness programs in Wichita Public Schools. Investing in the Legacy Golf Classic is an investment in Wichita's future workforce. 

​

Each year, this tournament provides funding for:

  • the Early College Academy at Northwest High School, giving students the opportunity to ear 60 college credits (equivalent to an associates degree) upon high school graduation. 

  • 4,000 credential fees, covering the cost of testing in more than 50 disciplines including OSHA-10, CNA, EMT and much more!

  • Uniforms, work boots, scrubs and other necessary supplies for our FutureReady Centers in Healthcare, Manufacturing and IT.

Sponsorships are now available for the 2026 Legacy Golf Classic. Sponsorships allow us to continue to support our students through career and college readiness programs.
