Credentials for Careers

Wichita Public Schools offers more than 25 Career and Technical Education pathways, providing students with hands-on, multi-year programs that integrate academic and workforce training. These pathways are offered across the 8 Wichita Public Schools high schools. All high school students have the opportunity to attend one of 3 FutureReady Centers in Healthcare, Manufacturing or IT. Students attend their base high school for half of the day and are bused to a FutureReady Center for hands-on training for the other half of the day.

WPS provides a broad range of pathways, including:

  • Business: Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship

  • Digital Media: Audio Video, Communications, Graphic Design

  • Healthcare: Health Science, Biomedical

  • Engineering: Technology, Design, Manufacturing

  • Education & Community: Early Childhood, Teach & Train

  • IT/Technology: Programming, Network Systems
